WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Lana had her first Christmas concert last night. Her Sunday school class sang 3 songs in the church program. They sang Silent Night, Away in a Manger, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. So funny! None of the them knew very many words to the first two songs and as Lana said "the boys were too loud!" in the second song. The video says it all. Sorry it is so shaky, Trav was laughing really hard :)
Tears from Heaven
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
So this year, in an effort to save money, we shopped around for a Christmas tree. The past few years we have gone to a Christmas tree farm around the corner from our house, where a sweet old man sells Christmas trees out of his barn, but we ususally spend $40+ on a tree from there. So this year we went to Menards. They were having a sale on trees ($15.99!!!) but we weren't sure what we would be getting for our money. When Travis and I went to pick up the tree they were already wrapped so we couldn't tell what they looked like, only how tall they were and the type. We picked out a 7'-8' Scottish Pine (the only one left :) and strapped it to our car, perfectly aware that it may be a horrible tree. When we got it home and unwrapped it in our garage it looked like a burrito. After an hour or more in our garage and it still looked the same we brought it into our house and let it sit over night. That poor tree, who knows how long it was in the netting but it finally relaxed and is a pretty nice tree. It does lean a little but definitely worth the $15.99 :)

Lana and the dream
Lana is always cracking me up. A few weeks ago when she woke up, she was sooooo excited to tell me her dream. It was about a white whale and she was a mermaid :) Last night I passed by her room on the way to bed and heard her cry out. At first I was afraid that it was Ellie (not good) but quickly realized it was Lana, which is unusual. I went into her room and she was sitting up. I climbed into bed with her and asked her what was wrong. She said, "I can't find it." I asked, "What can't you find?" and she said "cartoons." ?! I realized that she must be dreaming. Hilarious! Of course she dreams about cartoons :) She didn't remember any of it in the morning.
